This Privacy Policy explains how PrizeZoneNZ Limited (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Account & contact details: name, username, email, password (hashed), age/eligibility confirmations, preferences, support messages.
• Gameplay & prize/admin data: entries, scores, outcomes, timestamps, prize fulfillment details (e.g., delivery address) where applicable.
• Payments (if used): transaction references and status. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
• Device/analytics: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages/events, approximate location (from IP), cookies and similar technologies.
• Compliance & safety: fraud signals, audit logs, and records needed to meet legal obligations.

How we use information

• Provide and operate the site, accounts, gameplay features and prize administration.
• Verify eligibility, prevent fraud/abuse, and protect users and our services.
• Customer support and service communications (e.g., account notices).
• Analytics to improve performance, security and user experience.
• Meet legal and regulatory requirements and resolve disputes.

When we collect and our grounds

We collect personal information only where it is necessary for our functions and activities, directly from you where practicable, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it is accurate and up to date. Where consent is required (for example, certain marketing communications), we will ask for it and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Disclosure & service providers

We may share information with trusted third parties that process it for us, such as hosting and cloud services, analytics providers, customer support tools, payment processors, email delivery, prize fulfillment and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, or to investigate security/fraud.

International transfers

Some service providers may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards (such as contractual protections) as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal/accounting requirements, and for security and dispute resolution, then we securely delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information (such as access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights (NZ)

• Request access to personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of your information (or request we attach a statement if we do not agree to change it).
• Complain to us, and if unresolved, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).
